What is electronic archiving?

An EAS (Electronic Archiving System) is a regulated activity that allows long-term archiving of sensitive documents with their associated probative value. Our partner Arkhineo (www.arkhineo.com), the European leader in archiving with probative value, ensures their conservation and guarantees their integrity and confidentiality.

Archiving with probative value is the perfect complement to the electronic signature. It ensures the authenticity and integrity of documents over time and prevents loss or damage to files. The legal security of your transactions is therefore all-encompassing. In particular, archiving with probative value makes it possible to meet the validity of electronic writing criterion outlined in Article 1366 of the Civil Code: storage “under conditions such as to guarantee its integrity”.

Closd allows you to benefit from an Arkhineo electronic safe, directly accessible on our interface. Access your archived data anywhere, from any device, anytime. You are always protected, even as your IT environment changes.

What is the difference with an EDM?

An EDM (Electronic Document Management) system replaces your office file cabinet, while an EAS is like a secure archive room. An EDM is used to store digital documents over the short or medium term. An EAS preserves documents in a perennial way, with certain legal value.

Documents signed electronically will be presumed to be intact, even several decades from now;

  • The probative value of electronically signed documents is ensured by compliance with several principles: integrity, durability, security, traceability and reversibility. In particular, the third-party archiver ensures the traceability (creation, consultation, modification, deletion) and confidentiality of the data through strict access control.
