What are the methods carried out by Closd and for what purpose(s)?
Users’ personal data are collected and processed by Closd are for a single purpose: to ensure total legal security of documents and contracts signed and more generally of all legal transactions carried out.
Subcontractor service providers: users’ personal data is not transferred to any third parties, except to the following service providers, for the sole purpose of ensuring the total legal and technical security of signed documents:
- OVHcloud for data hosting (fully encrypted);
- Docusign and CertEurope for electronic signatures;
- AriadNext for automatic user identity verification.
Are the personal data collected relevant and proportionate to the intended use?
- Relevance: Closd only collects data that is strictly necessary for the performance of legal transactions in complete security (technical and legal).
- Minimization of the data collected: no other personal data is collected by Closd, for any purpose whatsoever.
How long is personal data that is collected kept by Closd?
Personal data linked to a user’s account is deleted at their request or when their Closd account is deleted.
Personal data related to the authentication of the signatories of a document are kept by Closd for the period during which the validity and the probative value of the documents may be called into question by a party or a third party. Closd deletes all personal data collected after this period.
How does Closd ensure data security and privacy?
- Privacy-by-design: Closd’s software infrastructure was built from the outset with the goal of protecting user data.
- Data encryption: the database and all documents uploaded to Closd are encrypted. The data is secured by the TLS protocol.
- Location of data: all data collected by Closd is stored on OVHCloud servers located in France.
- Security audits: Closd has security audits carried out on its platform by certified companies.
- Data access: only authorized persons within Closd can access user data for the purpose of providing assistance with or maintaining the database.
- Confidentiality commitment: Closd employees are bound by a very strict confidentiality commitment.
